Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Sadly I must part with my '09 Sportster with the sudden onset of medical expenses. It's a great bike, no issues, original owner and only 6700 miles. Tires sill have plenty of tread. Equipped with dual chrome exhaust and a custom low seat with pegs for an additional rider, it's a beaut. Only slight wear on handle grips, this would make for a great first bike, as it was mine. Stored in a garage, all oil changes by the dealer yearly since purchasing it from Cowboy Harley in 2009. The blue book value lists this at $4750 with nearly twice the miles. I'll be listing this with a starting price much lower than that since I need the bike to sell, but I also won't go below what I think would be getting washed. Please contact me for further info and happy bidding!!

Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?

Tue, 18 Aug 2009

Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more.  Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.

Harley-Davidson‘s rider training program has revamped itself and even changed its name. Now the new Harley-Davidson Riding Academy is the only national rider training program hosted by Harley-Davidson dealerships and conducted on an all-new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Since its inception in 2000, Harley-Davidson’s rider training program has successfully trained more than 350,000 new riders with a premium Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)-approved rider training experience that guides students on their journey from the classroom to the street with an emphasis on building student confidence on their road to independence.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
