Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Selling a beautiful Sportster, like no other!! Bike is as close to brand new as you get!!!

This bike ONLY has 000157 miles. YES ONLY 157 MILES!!! The bike has been kept in the back of the garage for 10years. Paint is still in perfect condition. The chrome is in great condition with only minor pits on the back of mirrors and on two cable connectors. Engine chrome, wires, metal and plastics are all perfect.

If your not familiar with the XL883L, the last "L" stands for low, basically means your ass is closer to the ground than a standard bike. This bike is perfect for a new rider or seasoned riders. Bike fits riders that are average to shorter stature. I would not recommended this for taller riders.

The bike was just fully service to get it ready for sale. Including flushing lines, complete carb service: sonic cleaning, new jets, full rebuild. Also brand new battery.

Selling for $6,200 is already a great price but wait theres more...

Bike will come with recipes for $3,200 in additional parts:
• New in the box, detachable windshield.
• 2-1 Python exhaust (already installed)
• Thunderslide kit (carb)
• Screaming Eagle air intake (already installed)
• Chrome master cylinder, chrome, chrome and more... Chrome (already installed)

I'm open to trades but prefer cash.

I prefer to sell this bike local and not deal with shipping the bike, I will not ship international; however, domestic shipping: The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Any added handing/time on my part from shipping the bike will come at buyers sole expense. Please ask questions before biding, added handing/time expense needs to be agreed upon prior to winning bid.

Cheers,
Paul Martin

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
