Harley-Davidson Sportster description

If you are into chrome you really might want to look at this bike , everybody that does all just mumble one simple word..."BEAUTIFUL". This bike has just about every chrome accessory available to the Sportster , just look at the photos. It has Vance & Hines straight shot exhaust , Memphis shades small size (so you can see over it when riding) totally smoked windshield , smoked turn signals and tail light , bad lander seat , Harley chrome forward controls , chrome head covers , chrome motor covers , chrome side covers , chrome fender strut covers , chrome handle bar control covers , chrome Willie G. custom accessories all over the place.....chrome chrome chrome .....Ok I am now getting tired of typing the word chrome and probably have not even mentioned half of it , even down to chrome nut and bolt covers on just about every nut and bolt.... like I said just look at the photos , it really is just way to much to list , also need to mention fresh fluid change and spark plugs , runs great . It has always been stored in my porch , under a cover and in a Harley bubble , no rust , fresh detail....polished and waxed . Wow..... really just to much to list , I love this bike , do not want to sell it but physical problems prevent me from riding it . Has one very small scratch on back side of front fender , about 1/4 inch , can barely be seen in 7th photo right beside the brake line.

Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
