2006 HARLEY DAVIDSON SPORTSTER 1200 CUSTOM This yellow pearl Sportster is in excellent condition. The paint and chrome all shine and have no defects or blemishes. The bike is a 1200 custom and is carbureted. It has the stock exhaust. The previous owner did install some upgrades. It has hard mounted leather saddle bags, touring seat and hardware for a quick release back rest. The bike will/did not come with the back rest. The wheels have be update to chrome wire profile wheels front and rear. These wheels have a smooth round rim for a more custom look. The saddle bags have some scuffs and one small tear on the right bag.(see picture) The forks have some lite pitting. I have detailed and safety checked the bike. All the lights, gauges and horn work 100%. The rear tire is fairly new with about 80% tread life and I have installed a new front tire. The front brakes have about 65% pad life while the rear are about 40%.I have taken the 1200 on a reliability run and the clutch, engine and transmission all work and sound as they should. Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program
Tue, 17 Jan 2012Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.
