2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON SPORTSTER 1200 C MOTORCYCLE 13K MILES ORIG PAINT
BOUGHT THIS SPORTY AT AN INSURANCE AUCTION. BIKE WAS CONSIDERED SALVAGE REBUILDABLE BUT THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH IT WAS IT NEEDED NEW FORWARD CONTROLS AND NEW TURN SIGNALS. EVERYTHING ELSE ON THIS BIKE IS EXACTLY HOW I GOT IT. AFTER REPLACING THOSE ITEMS, THE BIKE HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY THE DMV AND IS NOW BEING SOLD AS A "REBUILT" BIKE. ALL TINS AND PAINT ARE GOOD. NICE CHROME. GOOD WHEELS AND TIRES. BRAKES STILL HAVE MEAT ON THE PADS. THIS BIKE RUNS AND RIDES GREAT. ALL GOOD GEARS. SAMSON EXHAUST. FORWARD CONTROLS. AIR BREATHER SAYS SCREAMIN EAGLE BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THIS HAS SE CAMS IN IT. JUST THE AIR BREATHER. NICE BIKE AND SUPER LOW MILES FOR THIS PRICE. NO RESERVE AND A LOW STARTING BID. Harley-Davidson Discontinuing Road Glide and Other Models for 2014
Mon, 15 Apr 2013A leaked memo sent out to Harley-Davidson dealers reveals plans to drop several models from the company’s 2014 lineup. Slated to disappear are the XR1200X Sportster, the FXS Softail Blackline, and the FLHTC Electra Glide Classic. Also being discontinued, at least for 2014, is the FLTRX Road Glide Custom and FLTRU Road Glide Ultra, as the tourer models undergo a design refresh.
Harley-Davidson Closing Australian Cast Wheel Subsidiary
Thu, 08 Dec 2011Harley-Davidson is closing its cast wheel and hub producing subsidiary New Castalloy, deciding to outsource production to third-party suppliers. Based in Adelaide, Australia, New Castalloy produces about 1,450 wheels and 500 wheel hubs per day for Harley-Davidson. That work will be transferred to outside suppliers by the middle of 2013.
Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
