Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2002 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 CUSTOM, Up for sale is my 2002 883C which I've owned for three years now. I am the second owner and bought it with only 4,200 miles. It now has 15,000. WHY SELLING IT My wife lost her car a few months prior to our wedding in July. We're fine without a car but soon the winter will come and that will be a different story. We will need to buy a new car and we won't be able to afford to do so if I don't sell my Harley. ADDITIONS I've spent a lot of money and longer hours customizing my bike so that it would look like I first pictured it. I did most of the modifications myself and most recently it was done by a professional mechanic. Additions include: - drag pipes - Moon Eye air cleaner - Front L.E.D. turn signals inserts by Kuryakyn - Rear L.E.D. turn signals/running lights by Harrison Specialties - L.E.D. taillight by D2Moto - Burly Slammer shocks in the rear (I have but never used the front springs) - 3.5 headlight - 12 narrow ape hangers (new set installed a few weeks ago) - Old Gold Garage Co. solo slick seat - Metzler Marathon tires (installed 2012) - side-mount license plate by Kuryakyn - aftermarket derby/primary covers - Side-mounted speedo CONDITION OF THE BIKE The bike runs hard, solid. I never had an problems starting up, it idles nicely and never had any major mechanical issues. At this time it needs a good shower! It has a few dents here and there. I recently changed the primary oil. What to know: - the bike just spent six weeks at the shop after an idiot pushed it on the side in Georgetown! - the mechanic replaced the front and rear fenders, the idle/throttle cables, the front brake assembly - the front turn signals need to be tightened (they are currently wrapped up with electrical tape) - I did all of the front wiring myself which means that it doesn't look super tidy although it looks pretty decent and it's been well made - the license plate holder got loose and I fixed it by using zip-ties - there are no mirrors (I never thought I would say that but I really never needed them) - the mechanic recently changed the front and rear brake pads and replaced the clutch cable WHAT I WILL THROW IN - 2-up stock seat - Many stock parts (lights, bulbs, risers, etc.) - any primary oil/brake oil I have left over RECEIPTS/INVOICES - I kept copies of all of the invoices of the work I've done on the bike - Most recent receipts are on email TITLE/INSPECTION - the title is clean but the inspection will need to be renewed IN CONCLUSION I love my bike. I've wanted a Harley since I was 10 years old (I'm now 30). I did a lot of work myself because I loved my bike so much and because it's very rewarding to work on the bike. I will not hide the fact that I've used it almost every day since I bought it. $3,700.00 7039731554

Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight.  King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode.  See his comments about the production here.
