This is a very nice 2009 Harley Davidson Softail Custom that has been freshly serviced and nicely upgraded. It features a passenger backrest and an upgraded badlander style seat. For an even more comfortable feel, it features 14in mini ape hanger handlebars. It features a chrome fender brake and upgraded mirrors. It also has chromed rider and passenger pedals and pegs. It features a chrome voltage regulator cover as well. It also has chrome frame inserts near the swing arm. Tons of chrome! The slip on mufflers sound great. The tires are in like new condition. Other than normal wear, we noted the following cosmetic items: It has a few small scratches on the rear fender. It also has a few small chips in the paint on the tank. There are also some tiny rock pecks on the front fender. Other than that it is in great shape! Fri, 04 Oct 2013On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
