Harley-Davidson Softail description

This is my daily ride and I live in the city, so it shows some wear. There is a scratch in the tank and the main drive cover, and there is some fading of the leather and gauges. It's in great mechanical condition and runs strong, but it will need some maintenance before taking any long trips. It has a padded sissy bar, saddle bags, and custom grips and floor boards, as well as the chrome front fork kit and lights. I am the original owner, and it was purchased new at Patriot Harley Davidson in Fairfax, VA. I have had most of the maintenance performed there, or by a local mechanic who was trained by Harley Davidson. 


With the wear and upcoming maintenance in mind, I am starting the bidding well below the book value. I will need a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $500 within 48 hours of winning the bid, and the rest payable by cash or money order upon pick up. This is for local pick up only, so please email me with any questions, or if you would like to come look in person before bidding.

Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame Announces 2013 Induction Class

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame announced it will induct five new members for 2013. The Hall also announced it will add one new member to its Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame. For 2013, the Hall will welcome to its ranks motorcycle attorney Russ Brown, custom chopper builder Rick Fairless (pictured above), Harley-Davidson dealer Bill Gikling, actor Marjoe Gortner of the television special “Sturgis: The Great Ride”, and antique motorcycle expert Lonnie Isam, Sr.

Begun in 2008 by the Harley Owners Group as Million Mile Monday and renamed and enlarged in 2012 toHarley-Davidson World Ride, this event simply asks all “friends of Milwaukee” to get on their hogs and ride on June 22–23.
