Harley-Davidson Softail description

This is a 2006 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. The bike and the 5 speed transmission has 59,686 miles on it. It has had a Harley Davidson replacement motor put it in with around 5000 miles on the motor. It has been lowered in the front and the rear. Has a stock Harley softail solo studded seat with a luggage rack that fits the contour of the fender. It has the stock Harley leather studded saddle bags which have some cracks and wear. There are a few scratches in the paint that I have shown in the pictures. It has Hooker brand full length dual exhaust. The pipe coming off the rear head has some spots on it where the chrome is discolored as it makes the turn to go towards the back of the bike. Which I have shown in the pictures. Has a full detachable windshield with a studded leather windshield bag. Chrome belt pulley and belt guard. The chrome outer primary has a spot where the chrome is bubbled up. Which I have shown in the pictures. Chrome brake rotors and frontend. The chrome engine guard and rear brake pedal has a spot that the chrome is peeling off.  Chrome switch housings, switches, perches and levers. The handlebars are stock touring bars with the wires run internal. It has chrome spoke 16 inch wheels with wide whitewall tires that still have some life left on the tread. Also has a chrome frame mounted toolbox on the right side. 3 blue 6 inch led strip lights mounted under the tank on both sides and one under the toolbox. This is a fun, good running and riding motorcycle. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I also have other motorcycles that range from years 1932 to 2014 some of which are listed on Ebay now. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and check out my other listings.

Motus Hires Former H-D Test Rider + Video

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Bruce Edmiston was a Harley-Davidson test rider for over 20 years. In that time, he estimates he’s racked up well north of 500,000 miles on a wide variety of motorcycles from many different parts of the world. He retired from Harley-Davidson in 2009, but the prospect of helping Motus develop an all-American sport-tourer was just the opportunity he needed to come out of retirement and utilize his test riding expertise.

Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.
