Harley-Davidson Softail description

Up for auction is this very nice 2001 Heritage Classic. Although it’s super nice, it is regularly ridden and has a couple tiny blemishes and you’ll have to strain hard to see them with the naked eye.  One is on the rear fender left upper side about the size of a pin head.  Each side of the front inner fork areas of the front fender has a blemish. No other scratches or blems in the paint, the tank is perfect as all other areas.  Chrome is in great shape and gleams in the sun and the leather is flawless. I’ve also installed remote control LED accent lights that adds to the night time experience.

It’s currently set up for a solo rider but does come with the original passenger seat and sissy bar with backrest, to include a chrome luggage rack with quick release latch (not pictured).

Shipping is buyer’s responsibility however I will arrange to meet with your shipper at scheduled pickup time.

I require a $500 NONREFUNDABLE deposit within 24 hours of sale through paypal.  I will not accept final payment through paypal, it must be either cash, certified bank draft or bank to bank transfer no other exceptions. I will not release the bike or title until all funding obligations are met.

Bike must be picked up within 10 days of sale if possible. I’m willing to work with you on this if circumstances prevent, but you must contact me and coordinate the date.

If you have any questions route them through the “ask the seller a question” here.  I work in an environment where cell phones are prohibited so if you want to discuss something about the bike send your phone number and I’ll call you when I get the opportunity.

Harley-Davidson’s New Tattoo Inspired Clothing Line

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

Not everyone can pull off a tattoo, I know I can’t. Or maybe I’m just too scared to ink up my entire arm for the rest of my life, sporting a faded and stretched color blotch when I’m 75 with my grand kids trying to guess what it once was. Well Harley-Davidson has a solution for me (and maybe you!) Fake it! Harley-Davidson’s new clothing line has been designed by “Tattoo Masters” to give you that authentic tattoo look, but on a shirt.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
