Harley-Davidson Pan Head description

I have owned this fine example of the final  year of the pan  head, for 18 years but due to my age and health issues I have decided to sell it and let someone else enjoy the pride and satisfaction of owning one of the best motorcycles Harley Davidson ever made.
The bike shows 22,440 miles on the odometer. I have no way to determine if the milage shown is accurate but it is my belief that it is accurate, based on condition of the bike and the history related to me by the previous owner. I  do not have a Title and doubt that the bike ever had a Title.. I have a currant Georgia registration for the bike which means the Georgia tag department checked out the bike vin numbers and found there is no recorded outstanding claim or title and the purchaser can get a tag and registration in any of the 50 states. This I guarantee, and do not take guarantees lightly since I am a retired lawyer I also know that the bike was registered for a number of years in Alabama so it has been lawfully registered for many years..A title may have never existed for the bike. Many states did not adopt a title law until the 1960s or later. Georgia did not adopt a title law until 1963.  I will also furnish the purchaser with a /Bill of Sale in which I will personally warrant title.

This bike is totally original. The orginal paint and chrome are good. The bike has been ridden and enjoyed and is not perfict, having some scratches and a few paint chips. The tires looked good but were old, so I have replaced both tires and tubes with new tires that look like the 1965 period. The bike has sat up the last few years though I cranked it a couple of times a year. Since it has been awhile since I have ridden the bike I wanted to make sure there were no problems so I had the bike gone over by a professional mechanic and he went over the bike. In addition to the new tires, a new voltage regulator was purchased and goes with the bike, but the electronic non stock regulator was working fine and we left it alone. The carburetor was rebuilt. The oil was changed and new filters installed. New plugs and plug wires were also installed and a new battery was installed. The bike runs great and is ready to ride and enjoy as soon as the new owner takes possession.
The purchaser is responsible for pick up and shipping at their own expense. The bike is sold as is and there are no warranties or guarantees  except as to my ownership and right to sell the bike free and clear of any or all claims.
