This bike cruises down the road with a 1200 cc Evolution engine – an engine with a true Harley-Davidson® soul. New for 2014, the Harley-Davidson® Forty-Eight® model comes with a powerful new braking system and optional anti-lock brakes. Another option is Hard Candy Custom paint, a large metal flake paint finish that recalls the iconic styling of 1970s custom bikes, and offers blazing color showing through a deep, rich finish. Comfortable new ergonomic hand controls are also new for 2014. The Forty-Eight® model also has an authentic peanut tank which first appeared on Harley-Davidson® back in 1948 (its name origin) and has been a defining Sportster® feature ever since. Zero Enters South American Market
Wed, 28 Sep 2011Zero Motorcycles has signed a distribution deal with the Brazilian dealer network Grupo Izzo, bringing its electric motorcycles to first Brazil, and soon across South America. Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing markets for motorcycles, a market Zero hopes to tap with its new distribution deal. Grupo Izzo is based mainly in Brazil with 11 locations, but has plans to expand into other South American countries.
46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012
Mon, 25 Nov 2013An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.
