Harley-Davidson has been preparing for its 110th anniversary party for the past year, celebrating in 11 countries on six different continents. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all.  Milwaukee residents have always been cordial hosts for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who make the journey to the City of Festivals from around the world. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Best Western Holds Photo Contest for Motorcyclists

Best Western is holding a new contest for motorcyclists to celebrate its 65th anniversary and the launch of its three types of hotels. The Best Western Ride Rewards Photo Contest is open to motorcycle riders and runs until July 15. To enter, riders must submit photos of their motorcycles in front of a Best Western sign from the chain’s 2,200 North American locations to the Best Western Facebook page.
