The 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom XL 1200C model is a true Harley Sportster custom motorcycle, just a little fatter and a little more custom than the other Sportster models. The fat front tire wrapped around a 16-inch wheel gives it a cool custom look and offers nimble handling. Stylistic components including new rear lighting, chrome 5-spoke cast wheels, and an old school looking pull-back handlebar give the Sportster 1200 Custom motorcycle unique H-D style with modern motorcycle functions. A two-up custom seat gives you just enough room to bring a passenger along on your journey. For 2013, the Sportster 1200 Custom model comes in a limited, serialized 110th Anniversary Special Edition, featuring exclusive commemorative anniversary styling elements and premium features that make it a top-of-the-line model and a true work of living art, with finely forged finishes that age and transform in a manner unique to each vehicle. The Harley Sportster 1200 Custom model, like all H-D bikes, comes ready to be modified and accessorized to fit your body and personal style, but with optional H-D1 factory customization you can design your perfect, personalized 1200 Custom model and order it built to your specifications directly from the factory. The black powder-coated Evolution 1,200 cc engine is rubber-mounted and air-cooled, featuring aluminum heads and cylinders for a lighter load and electronic fuel injection. 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Lineup Revealed
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson revealed four models in its limited-production 2014 Custom Vehicle Operations. The CVO Breakout introduced last year is back for 2014, and this time it is joined by the all-new CVO Softail Deluxe (pictured above) and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited touring models which also received elements of Harley-Davidson’s new Project Rushmore initiative. All four CVO models get exclusive components and paint treatments not available on other Harley-Davidson models, as well as a number of accessories from the company’s catalog.

Harley-Davidson‘s Stereotypical Harley campaign became a big part of the company’s advertising efforts in 2012, featuring real Harley-Davidson owners and showcasing the large diversity of its riders. Fighting against preconceptions can be difficult but Harley-Davidson has some numbers to prove its motorcycles are popular with other demographics including young adults, women and minorities.

Fri, 08 Jan 2010Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today. As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).
