AMA Ice Racing Grand Championship Adds Ice Moto Competition

If you’ve been paying attention around here, you’ll know that we love ice racing here on Motorcycle.com. Editors Troy Siahaan and Tom Roderick got a first-hand taste of ice racing last winter, and we got a real kick out of seeing racers Brad Baker, Jared Mees and Nichole Mees taking Harley-Davidson Street 750s onto ice during the Winter X Games. Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit

The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“  exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
