Numbered series 2035 of only 2600 made. 96 motor & 6-speed. This model is Harley's all time most popular model and not currently available new. The FXSTC Softail Custom has a classic hands-high, feet-out, long-chopper profile and the comfort of a two-up King / Queen seat and backrest that will please a passenger ready for a long haul. A 200 mm rear tire and Bobtail fender lend authority to the rear end. Polished ape-hanger handlebar and Fat Bob fuel tank are classic cool. Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show
Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Lineup Updated with Project Rushmore Enhancements
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson announced a number of updates to its touring models, a cumulative result of a product development effort the company dubs Project Rushmore. The enhancements cover several areas, addressing performance, comfort, style and infotainment needs, and will be implemented across eight 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring models: the Road King, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Limited, the Tri-Glide Ultra Classic trike and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited. “Project RUSHMORE has been touched by thousands of people, most of them being our customers and our employees,” says Scott Habegger, Harley-Davidson Director of Motorcycle Planning.
Harley-Davidson Expands H-D1 Bike Builder Tool for All Non-CVO Models
Fri, 08 Jun 2012Harley-Davidson has expanded its online H-D1 Bike Builder customization tool to include more models from its current lineup. The H-D1 Bike Builder allows users to customize motorcycles with parts from Harley-Davidson‘s catalog. The tool was previously only available for Sportster 1200 models but Harley-Davidson has add all of its models except for the high-end Custom Vehicle Operations line.
