2004 Harley-Davidson FXSTB/FXSTBI Softail Night Train, Blacked Out Raked Out Sharp Looking Bike - This bike has some extras and runs out great. Blacked out bike comes with rake kit, heat wrapped exhaust, and ape hangers. Bike runs out great and is in good mechanical and cosmetic condition. The blacked-out theme and stunning new Lava Red Sunglo paint of the Night Train are enough to pop any set of eyeballs from their sockets. But you really have to ride this animal to appreciate it. So plant yourself in the minimalist seat, stretch your boots to the forward foot controls, reach to the drag bar, and there’s no holding back. It feels aggressive. No wonder we had to get dark with the styling. A black powder-coated, counterbalanced EFI or carb-fueled Twin Cam 88B power mill with wrinkle- and textured-black covers. Black tank console, black rear fender supports, black air cleaner cover and black oil tank. We gave it a laced front and disc rear wheels. Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Team Unveils Restyled V-Rod Drag Bikes
Fri, 09 Mar 2012The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.

At the moment, a recall has only been announced by Transport Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to announce the recall due to the federal government shutdown, but recall notices are already being sent out to dealers in the U.S. According to the Canadian agency, the upper fork stem bracket was machined incorrectly, allowing for more steering angle than intended by the trike’s specifications.

In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.
