Harley-Davidson Other description

This offering of a completely restored 1948 Panhead FL model in Flight Red is an opportunity that should not be missed if in the market for such a piece of Harley Davidson history.

This bike was restored approximately 10 years ago as a rider, yet has been on display ever since.  This was a meticulous, ground-up restoration, performed by an experienced, detail-oriented Harley mechanic.

All the parts used in the restoration are genuine, correct Harley parts, with two exceptions:  the rims and ignition switch were upgraded for reliability and easy maintenance, since this bike was intended to be a rider, not a museum piece.

Potential bidders are welcome to come inspect the bike in Virginia Beach, VA.  The motor, transmission and gas tank have not been filled since the restoration.  So, no, you won’t be able to see it run before bidding.

I’ve described everything accurately to the best of my ability, however its being sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.

A $500 Non-Refundable deposit is required within one day of the end of the auction by PayPal.

The balance is due within 7 days and is payable by wire transfer or cash on Pickup ONLY.

Buyer is responsible for shipping and must pick the bike up within 30 days from end of the auction.

At the time of filming, the FatBoy was one of Harley-Davidson’s newest models, and the one now in the Museum’s permanent collection was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1991 action classic. “Terminator 2 is an iconic film and a celebrated piece of pop culture history,” said Jim Fricke, Curatorial director of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
