This is a VERY original and correct 1946 WL that rides and drives and performs absolutely perfect!!! this is not some put together or restored bike, this is a real deal bike that has little to NO reproduction parts. Ive owned and sold hundreds of old barleys and indians, i almost NEVER find original bikes with the LOOK like this one has ALL matching bellies, no repairs anywhere, correct hardware, Paint is awesome and most looks to be original to me but i can NOT authenticate that. i will only call a bike original paint if i got it from the original owner and have proof. this bike has had a handful of owners and i can only trace it back maybe 20 years. paint is all old and looks KILLER. Cycle ray, beehive, all the trim, all original stuff the speedo was gone through and the seat was recovered as well i also have an original re covered solo seat for the bike, i can swap it if you prefer AS far as running, bike is perfect. starts up first kick hot or cold, shifts perfect, doesn't smoke, doesn't excessively leak or anything like that hop on and ride anywhere you want. this is not some swap meet built junk or a restored bike, its the real deal and is the best looking old bike I've seen in a long time. don't have to be a mechanic or a big guy to start it either, this one just wants to go. has clear paperwork and is ready for a new home. feel free to ask any questions

Mon, 16 Jan 2012A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
