Up for bid is this piece of American History, 1955 Harley Davidson Panhead Custom Hardtail Chopper. Dwight D Eisenhower was POTUS , James Dean was killed in his Porsche 550 spyder....and Rock and Roll music was born. America's motorcycle was the Harley. This is a classic old school '55 Harley Davidson 1200 Panhead with a Shovelhead top end. Features include the following : PPG Burgandy Basecoat, clear coat urethane tank finish, and a black/ blue pearl frame, 12 volt system w/ Dual Plug Head's, point's ignition, Generator with Cycle Electric solid state regulator, S & S carburation with a Hyper Charger air cleaner, Harley 4 speed transmission, Open Belt Primary Drive, Wide Glide style front end with 7" rise handlebars, Banana caliper front disc brake, upgraded rear disc brake, stunning 21' front, 16" rear Chromed Wire Wheel's, loud Fishtail pipes, the frame appears to be vintage 60's Paughco although there are no numbers to verify that, also has a Digital Vector Trail Tech speedometer mounted on the handlebars ( stock tank mounted speedo is for show and is not hooked up...frame would need drilled and would probably crack so didn't go there). This is a kickstart only bike and was confiscated by the local Police department then sold at public auction (for all you Outlaws). Comes with a clear Idaho Title. It was then restored to the condition that you see here. Start's on the 1st or 2nd kick......and this bike is way COOL!! Thu, 25 Jul 2013Harley-Davidson reported a net profit of $271.7 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013, up from the profit of $247.3 million reported in the same period in 2012. For the first half of 2013, Harley-Davidson has recorded $495.9 million in profit, compared to $419.3 million reported in the opening six months last year. “Harley-Davidson again drove strong financial performance in the second quarter, reflecting the many improvements in operations we have made throughout the Company over the past few years as well as our brand strength globally,” says Keith Wandell, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc.

Wed, 01 Feb 2017The new modification for 2017 received a Milwaukee-Eight engine, a new fork and rear shock. With a dry weight of 355kg, the bike is powered by a 1750cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-twin engine delivering 150Nm at 3250rpm. The same unit is put not only on the Road King line, but also on other bikes from Milwaukee.
