2013 Ducati Streetfighter 848, The Ducati Streetfigther 848 combines the 848 Testastretta 11 engine and a new Trellis frame with Superbike 848EVO-derived geometry. This mix assures a great handling and a rush of power which is kept in check by the advanced Ducati Traction Control system. The engine is based on the Testastretta Evoluzione and delivers 132 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.5 kgm at 9,500 rpm. Compared to the Testastretta Evoluzione, the 848 Testastretta 11 s overlap angle has been reduced from 37 to 11 to ensure a fluid power delivery, a wider power band and reduced consumption and emissions. The engine is combined with a 2-1-2 exhaust system made from weight-saving 1mm thick steel with 58mm to 63.5mm diameter pipes. The system uses two lambda probes and an electronic valve in the mid-section to deliver increase performance and a wide spread of power.

Thu, 05 Aug 2010In today’s news that really isn’t news, an interview of Ducati CEO, Gabriele del Torchio, by Bruno de Prato found on Cycle World’s website on August 3rd, reveals the CEO speaking in a matter-of-fact tone about Valentino Rossi’s status as a team member on Ducati’s MotoGP effort. In the CW article, Del Torchio states that the 2010 racing season “will not bring to Ducati any crown in the sport,” but that he looks “forward to Valentino Rossi teaming up with Nicky Hayden.” “Nicky is a wonderful person and a great rider. Limited Edition 2014 Ducati 1199 Panigale S “Senna”
Tue, 08 Oct 2013Twenty years after the passing of Brazilian F1 superstar, Ayrton Senna, Ducati is offering special version 1199 Panigale. Built exclusively for the the Brazilian market, only 161 models will be produced in honor of the amount of Grand Prix races in which Senna competed. The special grey with red wheels color scheme was chosen by Senna during a visit to the Ducati factory only a few weeks before his last race in Imola in 1994. Scheduled to begin arriving in June, 2014 the Senna models will come equipped with a racing exhaust system and each will have its individual production number inscribed on the top fork clamp.
2012 848 Challenge calendar announced

The eight-round championship will support the British Superbike championship for six of the eight rounds and will also head to Assen for the third year in a row and also to Misano as part of the World Ducati Week. The one-make series is open to riders of the Ducati 848 and 848 EVO models.
