Ducati Other tech info
Ducati Other description
A 1969 Ducati 450 Jupiter (aka Scrambler) is offered for sale. I purchase this bike from a “barn find” seller in souther CA as a complete bike. Over the past year I have made some minor clean-up and replacement of a few parts with original parts in my collection. I have only started and run the bike once, to ensure there where not engine or transmission issues. The bike is amazingly complete with original Ducati ignition key and Neiman steering lock keys. The bike also has chrome instrument holders, which are very rare and mostly found on MK3 450's and rarely on Jupiter. All controls, decompression, throttle, clutch and brake cables function. The only non original parts are repro rubber shock gators and Duro tires. The rims are the original Radaelli chrome rims and I will include another rear rim/hub which has much less rust than the rim currently on the bike. The tail light and brake light appear to work, but there seems to be an issue with the headlight - which I might sort out prior to the end of the auction. The tank is very solid and I have an extra petcock, which are hard to find and will be included in the sale. The bike will be sold with a bill of sale and copy of the CA registration from the PO. If you are looking for an original bike to ride, this bike would fit the bill, with some minor work. There is a you tube video of the bike running, search for 1969 Ducati Jupiter ( you will see a video for a 1970 Ducati Jupiter - which I sold several years ago). Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick-up arrangements. Please ask questions - and good luck bidding! |

Highlights From The Troy Bayliss Classic – Video
Wed, 22 Jan 2014For the second year running, three-time World Superbike champion, Troy Bayliss’, self-titled slick track motorcycle race was full of action. However, unlike last year, Bayliss took home the crown in front of a capacity crowd of over 6000 people at the Taree Motorcycle Club. Bayliss didn’t win the title easily, as American, and 2009 AMA Grand National champion, Sammy Halbert, set the fastest time during Superpole and challenged the Australian for the first half of the 21-lap race.
