Suspension is, quite simply, superb: the fully adjustable TiN-treated Öhlins fork provides superior road-holding. The rear shock (Öhlins again) is fully adjustable and features a remote preload adjuster for quick situation tuning without the need for tools. A top-quality aluminum alloy rear swingarm and tapered alloy handlebars are also featured on the “S” model.

Ben Spies to Ducati in 2013
Wed, 12 Sep 2012Ducati has confirmed that Ben Spies will be riding for the Italian company in next year’s MotoGP championship. Joining Spies is Moto2 phenom Andrea Iannone. Apparently, Spies and Iannone will be competing on the Pramac Ducati team and “will be supplied with official equipment.” With Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso already confirmed for the factory Ducati Team, this announcement concretes a competitive, four-pronged attack for storming next year’s championship.

Mon, 10 Oct 2011Today, Ducati has revealed many telling details about the all-new 1199 Panigale “SuperQuadro” engine in anticipation of the machine’s complete unveiling next month at EICMA in Milan. Needless to say, with all the hype and buildup surrounding the 1199 Panigale, much of it has centered around the completely radical and highly oversquare engine that also acts as the main stressed member of the monocoque frame. The design goals were rather ambitious 195 hp, among others and as such, much of what we’ve come to expect from Ducati has been thrown out the window.
