Ducati Monster tech info
Ducati Monster description
The good:
Dark grey, black wheels, carbon fiber headlight faring, stage 2 carb kit, airbox delete with K&N barrel filters, Dan Moto slip-ons, bar-end mirrors, Corbin touring seat, adjustable pegs, after market brake and clutch reservoir covers, inspection cover and clutch cover. I also have the original seat that will be included in the deal. The bad: It was dropped in October. I rode it home and it has been started since with a jump start. There is damage to the left side as I tried to depict in the photos. What's hard to see is the bars are bent. The left foot shift lever is broken but it does shift thru all the gears by hand, Nothing mechanical is damaged. The tank is dented and scratched. The left muffler is scratched. Oh, and the battery is dead but starts with a jump. There is nothing mechanically wrong with this bike. It starts and runs and rides. All the damage is easily fixed. I really do not want to get rid of this bike however I'm just not in a position to fix it and I would like to see it go to a good home. The title is clean. Buyer is fully responsible for all pick-up, shipping and handling. Purchase price of the motorcycle does not include shipping and handling. Feel free to call or text. I will consider reasonable offers. |

A subspecies of the Ducati Scrambler
Tue, 02 Dec 2014While the motorcycle world is eagerly waiting for the new 2015 Ducati Scrambler to go on sale, Japanese Speedtractor customizers are reinventing their scrambler from a Bolognese brand donor. The motorcycle is based on the 1988 Ducati 750 Sport. The previous owner bought it in the mid-1990s to ride on the track, but after the first Sunday race, he parked the bike in the garage for several years for some reason.
Former World Champion Franco Uncini Named Grand Prix Safety Officer
Wed, 20 Feb 2013The International Motorcycling Federation has named Franco Uncini the FIM Grand Prix Safety Officer and circuit inspector. The 1982 500cc Grand Prix World Champion (pictured on the left above) takes over for the retired Claude Danis (right in the photo) to oversee safety in MotoGP. The now 58-year-old Uncini won the 1982 World Championship for Roberto Gallina‘s factory-backed Suzuki.
Happy 50th Hizzy
Wed, 11 Jan 2012On the 11th January 1962, Steve Hislop was born in Hawick, Scotland. Today would have been his 50th birthday, but he was tragically killed in a helicopter accident in 2003. Hizzy was a genius on a motorbike and when he was happy with everything around him, he was amongst the best in the world.
