You are viewing a 1972 custom built Honda 750 chopper featured in February of 1974 Custom Chopper magazine as House of the Rising Sun. Article states it's a 1970 engine, title states it's a 1972, built in 1972-1973 with original CA. blue plates. Anyhow the same era as Denver and other long forgotten builders. This is truly a survivor piece that had been sitting in a garage the last 30 years. The bike is fairly true to it's original build, but subtle changes have been made over it's life, as in Handle bars and head lights, seat and sissy bar, ARD mag and Webers were removed at some point and replaced with stock components. Overall, this is a very cool bike that turns heads where ever I take it, but it is a 40+ year old bike, so it is not perfect. I have done my best for the pictures to show the true condition, and the magazine article gives a lot of information, but please ask for any clarification. It starts right up with the electric starter, idles perfect with 60 PSI of oil pressure, probably cold, does not smoke at all, shifts, rides and stops as it should. It appears the kicker spring is broken. It spins the engine over fine and stays in the upright position, so I did not address it. I have been personally riding the bike and feel confidant it is a solid machine. The paint has the proper checking throughout with a few large chips, but overall, solid.The worst being evidence of a failed petcock which I did my best to show on a photo Engine paint is fading, but I decided to leave all the natural patina of the bike in tack. All the chrome is decent with a few areas of minor pitting. all is fine in my opinion, but it is no longer show chrome! Recent upgrades to the bike are a fresh carb flush with seals, K&N filters, petcocks, seat and bar, tail light & bracket, front tire & tube, battery and box cover with fresh chrome, not shown in pictures, oil & filter & valve adj.
So, I consider myself as a old car and motorcycle enthusiast who drives a vintage vehicle everyday, and I consider myself an honest person who has done his best in describing this bike, but by no means am I any kind of professional. So please look at the pictures and ask any question you may have and I will do my best to answer it. I will guarantee it to start on the day of purchase, but nothing beyond that. I have ridden this bike for the past year and feel it's a solid machine, but this is my first Honda, so I am far from being an expert. I have had friends ride it who have experience with a CB750 and feel it runs to strong to be a stock bore. So I am requesting a $500. non refundable deposit be made within 48 hours of the auction with the balance within 7 days. I am willing to work with the buyer to arrange shipping, but local pick-up is the best with cash or a bank check. I'm a couple hour drive out of Los Angeles if that helps. I am also fine with a out of country sale and can arrange for delivery to the shipper in LA for a $500. extra fee. Please serious bidders only!! |

Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
