A Man of LOVE

I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).

Update Nov 13: Last Buell Motorcycle Rolls Off the Line An emotional Erik Buell has posted a video on the Buell Motorcycle site officially announcing that Harley-Davidson has shut down all Buell motorcycle production.  Harley-Davidson will honor all warranties for Buell owners, Buell dealers will still be selling the limited supply of bikes that are currently on hand.  Visit Motorcycle.com News for more details. Geoff May To Ride EBR 1190RX In 2014 World Superbike Championship

During the AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida last week, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) took the covers off its latest sportbike, the 1190RX. The company also announced it would be taking the 1190RX directly to World Superbike competition in 2014, with Geoff May the team’s number one rider. Joining the world championship was a dream both May and Buell talked about regularly, dating back to when May first joined the team in 2010 riding the 1125R, so clearly both parties are excited about the season ahead.
