POWDERCOATED FRAME GLOSS BLACK.  FRESH TYRES 4OO X 18 REAR, 325X 19 FRONT, FITTED TO NEW STAINLESS WHEELS, AND SPOKES.  ALL HARDWARE HAS BEEN CAD PLATED.  COMPRESSION RATIO 9 TO 1.  RUNS GREAT. There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s.  I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.

At last we have a brand new model of the beloved brand: after the success of Royal Enfield and Jawa, the British BSA has returned to service. The single-cylinder classic Gold Star will enter the European market - a spiritual successor to the original company's lineup, but with a completely modern filling. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, a working volume of 652 cm3.
