Danilo Petrucci Signs With Rokit BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team for 2026

Italian motorcycle Danilo Petrucci racer has had a long and colorful racing career, moving up from the FIM Superstock 1000 support category in WorldSBK to secure his ride in MotoGP in 2012 as part of the emerging Claiming Rule Teams (CRT). After spending several seasons in the premier MotoGP class, Petrucci ventured Stateside and joined the MotoAmerica Superbike category for a single season, before joining the WorldSBK paddock in 2023. With a few notable seasons under his belt, the Petrucci is moving from the privately owned Barni Spark Ducati Racing Team where he rode the Ducati Panigale V4 R and will be joining the factory supported Rokit BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, where he'll ride the latest version of the BMW M 1000 RR, effectively succeeding World Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu who has inked a deal with Prima Pramac Yamaha for the 2026 MotoGP season.

More tech for the Ténéré For 2025, Yamaha has brought technology first seen on the MT-07 to its CP2 Twin-sharing sibling, the Ténéré 700. In addition to Yamaha’s Chip Controlled Throttle (see: ride-by-wire), the T7 also gets updated styling, suspension, and ergonomics – all of which sound promising, but is more tech what Ténéré customers are looking for? Yamaha’s switch to a ride-by-wire throttle has opened up options for throttle maps and traction control settings, but cruise control is still suspiciously absent.
