BMW R-Series description

This is a bike is in pristine condition. Very low miles, recently serviced by BMW dealership, stored indoors, never ridden in the rain or off road. I can only find one of the ignition keys - that is the only negative.

Factory Options: ESA II Electronic Suspension, Heated Grips, TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor), Fog Lights, Integral ABS II, Enduro Transmission, Saddle bag mounts for Aluminum cases, On-board Computer.

2013 BMW R1200GS Deliveries Delayed to Fix Suspension Issue

BMW has reportedly delayed delivers of the revamped R1200GS in Italy to correct a problem with its Telelever front suspension. According to Motociclismo.it, BMW discovered a problem where the Telelever meets the steering plate. BMW reportedly has a fix, but it requires some special tooling.

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. BMW Design Chief David Robb Steps Down; Edgar Heinrich Named Successor

David Robb, the man responsible for BMW‘s split-face motorcycle design, has left the German manufacturer. A native of Boston, Mass., Robb joined BMW as its design chief in 1993, and over the ensuing 18 years expanded the company’s product line to include the top selling R1200GS, the six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL, and the S1000RR superbike (that’s him on the far right in the picture above). The 56-year-old’s latest design to enter production are the C600 Sport and C650GT maxi-scooters.
