Standard production model follows Ricky Carmichael Edition Triumph is following up its Ricky Carmichael special edition TF 450-RC with the 2026 TF 450-X. The regular production model builds upon the base established by the RC model and adds technical updates recently introduced on the 2026 TF 250-X, including a more durable clutch, new engine mounts, and a revised transmission. The engine and fuel mappings are unchanged from the Carmichael edition, with the 449.5cc SOHC Single claiming the same peak figures of 62.4 hp at 9,500 rpm and 36.8 lb-ft.

2013 BMW R1200GS Deliveries Delayed to Fix Suspension Issue

BMW has reportedly delayed delivers of the revamped R1200GS in Italy to correct a problem with its Telelever front suspension. According to Motociclismo.it, BMW discovered a problem where the Telelever meets the steering plate. BMW reportedly has a fix, but it requires some special tooling.

BMW Bounces Back with Record August Sales

When BMW released its second quarter report last month, the company reported a 4.2% decrease in BMW and Husqvarna motorcycle sales due mainly to a struggling European economy. The economic woes persist but BMW appears to be recovering, reporting a new sales record for the month of August. BMW reports sales of 7,400 motorcycles and scooters in August 2012, a company record for the month and an 11.3% increase from the 6,646 units sold in August 2011 and 14.7% more than the 6,405 units sold in August 2010.
