BMW R-Series description
Red 2004 R1150 RT. Twin spark motor which eliminates surging issues of earlier oilheads and uses no oil. Mobil 1 Synthetic used at all oil changes. I have owned this Motorcycle for a short time, it was originally an Edelweiss touring bike and it was bought from Irv Seaver BMW. I am the third owner. Well maintained and smooth shifting and riding. Suburban machinery foot peg lowering kit with shifter relocation, PIAA aux. lighting (foot pegs pictured on these mounts are removed), 1" bar backs. Extra Large Cee Bailey windshield. Wired for Garmin Zumo 665 (not included) with RCU shelf. Last service was at 78k which included bleeding abs and all new brake fluid. Next scheduled service at 84k. No error codes and no issues with electrical systems on bike. Original parts are included in sale. 2012 BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL Engine Stall Recall Announced for US
Tue, 03 Dec 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for 2,475 units of the 2012 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL in the U.S. because of a software problem causing engines to stall. A similar recall was previously announced in Canada but we now have more information about the problem.

Thu, 31 Oct 2013BMW is recalling the 2011-2012 K1600GT and K1600GTL in Canada because of a risk of the engine stalling. At the moment, a recall has only been confirmed for Canada, though we expect a similar recall to come for the U.S. market from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept
Fri, 01 Jul 2011As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development.The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.
