Selling one very clean 1992 BMW R100R BMW with factory hard luggage, and 8600 original miles. As you can see from the pictures, this is a very clean bike that is in exemplary condition, runs and rides like new and comes with original owners manuals and spare key. Same owner for the last 16 years since 1400 miles. Light cosmetic blemishes, please examine pictures. It does leak a small amount of oil, I believe from the pushrod tube seals. This is a 26 years old bike. Left tank badge is peeling a little bit, and there are some small scuffs under the valve covers, but overall this is a very nice bike. BMW R12 Trademark May Be for an R NineT Successor
Tue, 22 Nov 2022BMW Motorrad to mark 100th anniversary in 2023 Earlier this year, reports emerged that BMW had filed trademark applications for “R12”, with many predicting the name would be used on a new cruiser. The logic made sense, as the naming structure was similar to the R18, and BMW lacked a cruiser model in the 1200-ish range. We were a little less bullish on that theory at the time, and we suspected there was more to the story.
Öhlins Introduces Electronically Adjustable Suspension System Replacement for BMW R1200GS ESA
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Öhlins has introduced what it is calling the world’s first replacement electronic suspension system, with a new aftermarket replacement kit for the BMW R1200GS’s Enduro ESA system. Like BMW‘s ESA and ESA II technology, Öhlins’ system lets riders adapt a motorcycle’s suspension with the push of a button. Öhlins’ system works with the R1200GS’s ECU and the existing user interface.
2013 BMW R1200GS Telelever Problem Explained in Transport Canada Recall
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Earlier this week, we wrote about reports in the Italian media of a delay on deliveries of the 2013 BMW R1200GS because of an issue with the suspension. Transport Canada has now issued a recall notice on BMW‘s new GS – the third to come from the Canadian government agency – that would explain the delay. According to Transport Canada, the threaded plugs securing the fork tubes to the upper triple clamp may come loose over time on some units.
