BMW R-Series description

I bought this bike with a restoration in mind but changes of plans force me to part with it. I did ride it for only a couple of miles. It runs great like a GS should. Many little upgrades such as skid plates, Corbin and crash bars. Otherwise this is a stock motorcycle and a great starting point for a collector. BMW Luggage included. Note that I will crate the motorcycle for you.

2015 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL Get Traction Control as Standard Equipment

Fri, 04 Jul 2014

BMW is updating its big six-cylinder touring bikes with traction control as standard equipment and a number of new optional add-ons including keyless remote ignition. Previously available as part of BMW’s factory-installed Safety Package option, the Dynamic Traction Control system will now be standard on all 2015 K1600GT and K1600GTL models. The system continuously monitors rear wheel traction during acceleration, stepping in when it senses excessive wheel spin.

BMW have taken a rapid step in the right direction, what with their K1300S, S1000RR and F800R. Recently rumours have been flying around that BMW are to produce a scooter, possibly a hybrid. And while we know it's well within their means, we'd rather they concentrated on the sharpening the cutting edge of road bikes.

LiveWire Reveals Two New Concepts At Harley-Davidson Homecoming

Fri, 11 Jul 2025

125cc equivalent bikes with removable batteries LiveWire revealed two prototypes previewing a new low-powered electric motorcycle platform as part of Harley-Davidson’s Homecoming event. The two models, a streetbike and a trailbike, are described as being “125cc equivalents” with removable batteries and low seat heights. The two motorcycles are still prototypes, but they look more production ready than the two max-scooter concepts LiveWire presented at EICMA last fall.
