I could tell you this motorcycle has 24,000 and a lot of people might believe that. I am however an honest seller. This is a 1972 BMW R75/5 Toaster tank SWB model. It is all original except for these upgrades, Mikuni Carb upgrade from Rocky Point Cycles, Dyna electronic ignition. I have just done a fresh top end, less than 250 miles on it. When I did the top end I found 10 over pistons in the bores. The cylinders were honed, new rings were fit, the heads were professionally done and everything was assembled with new gaskets. Keep in mind this is a 40+ year old machine and it exhibits some scratches and blemishes, no dents, and the paint is original and shows well.
This classic Beemer features all matching numbers. The fairing, bags, and tour pack are original Wixom Brothers period correct pieces, I have replaced the factory latches which were all worn and broken. The seat is a BMW factory piece. It starts easily and is well sorted. The Metzler tires show little wear. The entire drive train has been serviced and the bike shifts well and the clutch is fine. Brakes are great for drums. Battery is correct and one year old and kept on a tender with the hook up installed. This bike is ready to ride home, even if you live on the West Coast. Shipping is up to the buyer, I will assist the shipper. I will not crate or palletize this bike for overseas shipping. BMW to Partner with India’s TVS Motor Company
Mon, 03 Dec 2012BMW is getting closer to signing a partnership agreement with India’s TVS Motor Company. The partnership, expected to be finalized before the end of March, would see TVS receive access to BMW technology while the German manufacturer would increase its footprint in the world’s second most-populated nation. TVS is one of India’s largest manufacturers but it has recently slipped to fourth from third behind Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda.

Wed, 25 Sep 2013The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.
