BMW R-Series description

Up for sale is my 1970 BMW R60/5.  I've had this for a while now.  Always stored inside.  My plans have changed.  Mostly complete, biggest thing missing are the two rear turn signals.  This bike is not running but the engine does turn over nicely and transmission shifts smoothly.  There are some areas of damage, and I've included what I can see in the photos.  The one valve cover has a hole on top and the center stand where the lug broke off there is hole there as well.  Stand seems solid enough.  Some dings in the gas tank but I can't see any areas where it could have leaked.  Nice red coating inside.  Handlebars show some rust.  I can see no broken fins.  Tail lamp is early, front signals are early, every thing looks correct except the mufflers which themselves are in nice shape just not the correct cigar mufflers.  If I was going to keep this, I'd pull it apart to lube the splines at the very least.  Check the clutch.  Change all fluids.  The wiring will need some hook up but looks complete except the turn signal wiring.  Comes with extras as shown.  BMW drive shaft boot and front gators.  Also has most of the tool kit and tool tray.  This is a triple numbers match machine and a desirable year but will require some work to get it into top shape.  I should add not for the faint of heart but I know it won't deter some folks. I don't have a title for this but I do have a bill of sale from the previous owner that will be included.  These /5 models are getting harder to find and their price is going up if you're lucky enough to find one.  This one is a great start even if you just want to sit on it.  Nice investment.  Buyer is responsible for shipping but I will help out here on my end with loading and being available to load. $500 non refundable deposit via paypal, the rest wire transfer or CASH in hand on pick up.  Other arrangements upon agreement before auctions' end. Ask questions, I check my email daily.

I DO NOT SHIP TO FRANCE.  I DO NOT SHIP TO ITALY.

I ship WORLD WIDE.  Buyer pays for shipping.  Shipping costs shown are for NORTH AMERICA ONLY.  If you are over seas, please wait for your invoice.  I will send it after the winning bidder contacts me to confirm their shipping preference. Please be aware that economy shipping from Canada to Overseas can take UP TO 10 WEEKS sometimes LONGER  !!!  If you can not wait that long, please DO NOT BID.   Ask questions before bidding, not after winning the item.  I do not accept returns unless I'm mistaken in my listing.  Check your own reference material for correct fitment and years applicable or consult your own expert as I am no expert.  Paypal is fine, other forms of payment gladly accepted, please ask.  Items normally shipped within 2-3 days after receiving payment.  If you would like to see this or any other of my items at a different angle, just ask.  I offer no warranty on electrical parts even if they are new. Thanks for looking.

Winter weather but summer carries on.

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.
