BMW R-Series description

NO RESERVE AUCTION

Welcome. You are bidding on an 1962 BMW R69S motorcycle. This bike has been sitting for sometime, but still has its original numbers matching engine and original Bing Carbs. It appears that the engine still turns over.  It has a later style front end on the bike. This would be a great restoration project, parts bike, or turn into your custom bike. The title to this bike has been long lost. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Please take a look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions.

2015 BMW S1000XR Spied – Inline-Four Multistrada Rival on the Way

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

Spy photographers have captured a new BMW adventure-tourer powered by the S1000RR’s Inline-Four engine. The new model, which we expect will be called the 2015 BMW S1000XR, will be more road-oriented than the company’s bread-and-butter GS line, offering a competitor to the likes of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 or the recently reviewed Aprilia Caponord 1200. Other publications that have published the spy photos (Insella.it and MotorcyclistOnline for example) have put forward names such as S1000F or S1000 ADV for the new model, but a trademark application BMW filed with the USPTO suggests it may be introduced as the “S1000XR”.

Thu, 19 Aug 2010

Everyone knows brake lights are to alert drivers behind you, but what about when you roll off the throttle, and tailgating drivers fail to notice your decreasing rate of speed? Would you like them to know you’re decelerating, rather than potentially becoming another statistic? Nikkos Designs of Fort Myers, Fla.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
