BMW Other description

2011 BMW S1000RR.

Runs great. Has aftermarket brake and clutch levers and the tires have plenty of tread on them.

I need to sell because I'm buying a Yamaha FZ-09 for a cross country trip.

There's some minor damage on the passenger seat which was repaired with epoxy and some minor marks near the ignition from keys. The tank grip sticker has some normal wear and tear on it too. Other than that everything is in great condition and the bike has never been down.

Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
