2009 Bmw R 1200 GS, The only bike you need for practically every style of riding! - 2009 BMW R1200GS with factory low suspension and nice accessories. Equipped from the factory with low suspension (has a regular height BMW rider seat), ABS, heated grips, on board computer, hand guards, and aluminum wheels. This GS also offers BMW Vario Side Bags, larger touring windscreen, aftermarket pegs, Throttlemeister, and accessory mount bar. Overall in very good condition but does have some tarnish on the exhaust. Recently had a maintenance service and is road ready! Feasts on pavement. Chews dirt. Demands seconds. Twisties? Touring? Gravel roads? It hardly matters because to the R 1200 GS, the most versatile machine in the 2008 GS lineup. This year, a five-percent increase in power raises its output to 105 ponies for even quicker acceleration. Handling is agile and precise thanks to a Telelever suspension system. The 2008 R 1200 GS also gets a few sporty new features that make it even more eye-catching, including stainless steel knee covers on each side of the gas tank, dynamic cylinder covers, as well as an ergonomic aluminum handlebar and a more comfortable seat. The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.

Fisker + Lego = the Lauge Jensen Viking Cruiser Concept

What do you get when you bring together the designer of the Fisker Karma and the great-grandson of the founder of Lego? The answer is this cruiser concept model by Danish brand Lauge Jensen called the Viking. The company was formed in 2004 by bike builder Uffe Lauge Jensen but later sold to industrialist Anders Kirk Johansen, the scion of one of Denmark’s wealthiest families and great-grandson of Ole Kirk Christiansen who invented Lego building blocks.

2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase

The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
