BMW NSU OSL 501 description

Rare pre-war 500cc NSU "The German Norton".
This NSU OSL 501 is in fairly good conditions, I had it running but noticed oil leaking out of the crankshaft oil seal.
The lights needs to be wired up, needs a rear brake arm at the drum.
It's what could be considered an older restoration.
The wheels, the girder fork, fenders etc are all in good shape, the engine has no broken fins.

The Italian division of BMW invited local custom workshops to work on a new R nineT roadster. Representatives of a young studio Officine Sbrannetti were the first to respond, proposing a project for the reincarnation of the legendary BMW RS54 Rennsport. R nineT was the seventh project of the company, which began its existence about two years ago.
