BMW K-Series description

You are bidding on a 2007 BMW K1200R Sport, with 15K+ miles on it.  I am the third owner of this bike.  I bought it three years ago with 1,900 miles on it.  Suffice it to say, this bike was not ridden much in its first six years.  Since then, I have put approximately 5,000 miles per year on it.  This bike runs like a champ.

Modifications & Updates:
  • HeliBars -  to raise the handle bar height an inch
  • Foot Peg Lowering Bracket - to offer slightly more legroom
  • Grip Puppies - to decrease road vibrations that reach the rider
  • Tires - Michelin Pilot Power tires recently installed
  • Battery - replaced in 2014
I am over six (6) feet tall, and this bike fits me well.  IMHO, this is the perfect sport bike, or sport-touring bike, for taller folks.  This bike has plenty of power for two-up riding or for solo "loaded-up" adventures.  Those who know, will know that the K1200/K1300 bikes are beasts... not for the tame-hearted.  Unleash your inner beast!

Bid with confidence!

BMW introduced an inline six-cylinder café racer concept at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Inline-six engines have a staple in BMW’s automobiles for decades and the German manufacturer’s motorcycle division took on the challenge of adapting the straight-six to a bike without making it too long or too wide. The result is the BMW Motorrad Concept 6, and an evolution BMW says “will further expand the K-Series in the foreseeable future”.

BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept

Fri, 01 Jul 2011

As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.
