Up for sale is my extremely low mileage K1100RS. Nearly perfect condition, just a few scratches on the lower part of the fairing. Bike has never been dropped, wrecked, or damaged in any way. Color is a dark graphite gray, that has a deep metal flake that looks great in the sunlight. Original paint.
Best part is this bike is 100% mechanically. Truly needs nothing. All maintenance is up to date. Just last week I replaced all the rubber brake lines with Gaffer braided lines (not pictured). This was the only thing the bike needed. Brake fluid flush and bled with DOT4 fluid Comes with factory bags with aftermarket canvas liners. Tires (Dunlops) are good, although the rear is a little square shouldered from interstate miles. There is a Givi topbox rack on the back, and I do have a Givi topbox that fits it, but I'm planning on keeping it for my next bike. If you win and want the topbox we can discuss. Has the Fuel Plus mpg tracking accessory that was installed by BMW dealers back when these were new. Not much else to say, it's a 100% ready to go sport touring bike. I'll go out on a limb here, and say this may be the nicest K1100RS for sale anywhere right now. WSBK: 2012 Monza Results
Mon, 07 May 2012It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.
BSB Superstock Championship Winning BMW S1000RR Stolen
Mon, 26 Sep 2011British Superbike racer Richard Cooper’s BMW S1000RR racebike was stolen mere hours after winning the 2011 British national Superstock title. Thieves reportedly broke into the Buildbase BMW race team’s truck after it returned to the team’s base in Leicestershire, England, from the series-clinching round at Britain’s Silverstone circuit. According to the team, thieves optained the keys to a van holding Cooper’s winning motorcycle and Superbike class racer John Laverty’s BMW S1000RR Superbike.
BMW Set Single Month Sales Record in April 2013 – New R1200GS Represents 27.7% of Sales Volume
Mon, 13 May 2013BMW announced it set a new company all-time sales record for a single month, delivering 14,587 motorcycles to customers in April 2013. That represents an 11.5% increase from the 13,088 motorcycles sold in April 2012. The record month helped push BMW‘s overall sales over the first four months to 39,319 motorcycles and scooters, a 5.0% increase from the 13,088 units sold in the same period of 2012.
