Tue, 22 May 2012

As the World Superbike championship makes its next stop at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah this weekend, Aprilia USA will be on hand and is inviting everyone to be a part of the “Aprilia Experience.” Beginning Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28, Aprilia will be showcasing many of its popular models, including the Tuono V4R APRC, RSV4 Factory APRC, Shiver 750 and Dorsoduro 1200. Best of all, each of these four motorcycles will be available for demo rides throughout the weekend, on a route traversing the local mountains and canyons. We’ve seen a number of these bike vs. car videos before, but they always strike me as a little suspect, as you never know if the pilot of either vehicle is really trying their best, or not, to win the race.

2014 WSBK – Assen Results

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
