2008 APRILIA RXV 550 The second of two that I picked up this spring. I originally intended to keep this one and did a few upgrades when I went through it. The odometer shows 100 miles but it didn't have a speed sensor when I got it (it does now) but the ECU only showed 16 hours of run time. I went all the way to the bottom end on this one and it now has less than 30 minutes on a fresh rebuild. It was missing a few parts when I got it so the seat, chain, clutch, and rear fender are all new. There are some light brush marks on the front fender but I have a new one ordered. The forks were just serviced with synthetic oil and new double lipped fork seals. Anthony West Can’t Afford to Pay to Race MotoGP, Mulls Retirement
Fri, 27 Jan 2012The 2012 MotoGP season is still months away and the world championship has already lost an entry, as veteran Anthony West announced his withdrawal from the series because he cannot afford to compete. The 30-year-old Australian racer was included on the provisional 2012 MotoGP entry list to compete for the Speed Master team on an Aprilia CRT machine. But with the official pre-season test at Sepang, Malaysia, coming up next week, West says he will not race because teams are asking riders to pay too much to race for them.
