Aprilia Falco description

2001 Aprilia Falco SL 1000 I am posting my 2001 Aprilia Falco SL1000 with only 11k miles. The bike is in very good condition with many aftermarket hop ups. I DO NOT HAVE TO SELL!!!!!!!!!! I will happily ride this bike and store it. I have searched and found this to be a very fair price considering what is out there and the prices similar bikes are going for. If you find one cheaper and better equipped, BUY IT!. If you don't have the amount listed, I'm sorry but this is not the bike for you. THere are not many Aprilias out there and even less of these Falcos. I haven't found one while riding around yet. Price is fairly firm as there is the one selling for more$ with less/more miles and another was selling in Northern Ohio with 30k miles for $3500 that was not in good shape. Cash only. No paypal scammers Italian chassis with POWERFUL BREMBO brakes and a powertrain by Rotax. Bullet proof This is nothing like the Jap sportbikes you've ridden. The motor is powerful, the noise is magnificent, and the handling is superb. Gear changes are tight and quick. Best of all the riding position isn't as bad as all the fully faired bikes out there. A few years ago I had a Honda Super Hawk and this is SO much better. Regular maintenance given. The bike is ready to ride!!!!!! Bike is in very good condition for a 13 year old vehicle. Normal wear and tear. Maintenance: Valve adjustment Spark plugs Oil Synthetic 2013 All fluids flushed 2013 TIRES! summer 2013 Brakes about 70% left New chain and sprocket (2 teeth up) 2013 New Battery 2013 Aftermarket: Two Brothers exhaust Appropriate EPROM, (chip) for the exhaust Showa front forks with Race tech internals and resprung Ohlins Rear Shock ($$$$) Aprilia Mille/Tuono swingarm conversion (Improves handling over Falco swingarm) Steel braided lines Frame sliders Rear seat and cowl Bike available to view M-F 10am-2pm, and weekends. BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

2014 Aprilia Tuono V4 R Gets ABS and Horsepower Upgrade

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

Aprilia has updated its Tuono V4 R for 2014, equipping the naked sportbike with anti-lock brakes, enlarging the fuel tank and pumping more horses from its 1000cc V4 engine. The Aprilia Tuono was already a favorite here at Motorcycle.com, and the latest updates should only reinforce that opinion. The Bosch 9MP ABS adds a degree of safety while only adding 4.4 pounds to the Tuono’s weight.

Who is Max Biaggi?

Thu, 23 Feb 2012

Max Biaggi opens up to former 250GP rival Jamie Robinson on his 20 years at the top flight of motorcycle racing. Surprisingly, Max grew up in a home without motorcycles and didn't even come in contact with a racetrack until he was 18 years old. Visiting the Vallelunga circuit near Rome, he became hooked on the sight, smell and sounds of racing and with the help of his father, put everything into his dream of becoming a world champion - something he would achieve several years later by becoming a 250GP champion with Aprilia in 1994.
