I am selling a 1983 Yamaha XS650 - Heritage Special with only 3,000 mis on it. IT IS NOT RUNNING, so it's a project bike for the right person.I purchased it in December as a winter project bike to restore, but I have not had any time or money to do anything with it. So it has just been sitting in my garage since then. I have provided pics below, if you need more specific pics, I am willing to text it to you. I also purchased a brand new exhaust system for it which I will include if I am paid the full price (firm). I also have a brand new Haynes Repair Manual I am going to throw in (see pic). I also have the side covers that say "Heritage Special" on them (though they are not pictured). Yamaha To Release Naked MT-09 SP
Tue, 29 Aug 2017In 2018, the Japanese brand will introduce an advanced version of the MT-09 bike. An interesting novelty will be out this year. Yamaha's top naked MT-10, formidable and comfortable, has an SP version with adjustable Öhlins electronic suspension, TFT gauges and special coloring.
Yamaha Reports 2011 Results
Wed, 15 Feb 2012Yamaha Motor Corp/ reported a net profit of 27 billion yen (US$345 million) in 2011, compared to a profit of 18.3 billion yen (US$243 million) year before. Overall net sales were down 1.4% to 1.28 billion yen (US$16.3 billion), but operating income rose 4.1% to 53.4 billion yen (US$682 million). The increase in operating income came despite the negative impact of last March’s earthquake in Japan and flooding in Thailand.
Colin Edwards Joins Forward Racing CRT Squad for 2012
Fri, 02 Sep 2011Colin Edwards will join the Forward Racing team to compete in the 2012 MotoGP season as a Claiming Rule Team entry. Edwards, known as a good development rider and an even better quote machine, is the first rider to officially sign on with a CRT. Forward Racing may be more familiar to some race fans by its former name, Hayate Racing, the outfit that ran the Kawasaki ZX-RR with Marco Melandri in 2009 after Kawasaki pulled out of MotoGP racing.
