1981 Yamaha XS650 Special
Serial Number:  4M4002943    MILEAGE:  10022      Paint:  Frost Silver
ALL ORIGINAL condition.     ORIGINAL OWNER, bike was stored for the last 30 years.    
THIS Yamaha was purchased in El Paso in May 1981.     It was ridden regularly until 1986, its last license date.    Then stored:   GAS tank drained and cleaned.   Carbs drained and cleaned.    Oil down the spark plug holes.   Fresh oil in crankcase.    Stored for 30 years in climate-controlled conditions.    
It has a new Yuasa battery and two new tires.   Fresh oil; master brake cylinder has been rebuilt.   Original Yamaha tool kit.    Complete Yamaha workshop manual.  It starts and runs perfectly....as nice as the day it left the shop.
ALL original paint and chrome.   Original pipes.    No leaks.   NO rust or flaking or fading anywhere.    SEE the pictures!   It is truly one of the nicest examples you'll find of an XS650.   
A bike like this comes along once in a lifetime.

Yamaha will reveal a new Star cruiser on March 9 during Daytona Bike Week. To promote the upcoming launch, Yamaha released a teaser video revealing a few fleeting glimpses of the new model along with the tag line “less is more”. The video reveals some details such as dual rear shocks, a solo seat and a new single exhaust design.

Yamaha Announces AMA Road Racing Teams For 2013

Today, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has announced its U.S. road racing teams to compete in the 2013 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Racing season, which kicks off in March at the famed Daytona International Speedway.  Superbike In the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike division, Yamaha is fielding “Team Josh,” as three-time and defending class champion, Josh Hayes once again teams up with Josh Herrin, the 2012 AMA Rookie of the Year. Despite setting single-season records for the most SuperBike wins, the most consecutive SuperBike wins, and the most SuperBike poles, the elder Josh hasn’t lost any of his competitive fire. During the off-season, Josh signed a two-year contract to stay with Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha because he loves the team and he still feels that he’s got a lot of unfinished business to attend to.
