Yamaha XS description

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD! READ THE ENTIRE AD!!! Thank you. 1981 XS650. It needs a minor cleaning and buffing from sitting in the garage. Will need minor little things. Does not leak.  Always stored inside. I bought this to make a Cafe' Racer but just don't have the time right now. I have not run this one in a couple of years. It has all the gears and great compression. She will need a new battery, minor carb clean etc from sitting. Perfect for someone who wants a beautiful original or a Cafe base to start from. I AM NOT GIVING IT AWAY SO FORGET THE STUPID LOWBALL OFFERS. I will just part it out. I am not getting her going. If I had the time for that i'd cafe' it and ride it myself or sell it for double the price atleast. This will be a super easy project for anyone. Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. AGAIN TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PICTURES. You can zoom in etc to get a good look. NO PAYPAL. Must be paid for in 7 days. Storage is no problem as long as its paid for first. YOU CAN COME SEE IT ANYTIME. Buyer pays and arranges all shipping. You must contact me within 48 hours after buying or it will be relisted. You won't be disappointed. I BOUGHT IT TO CUSTOMIZE IT. IT CAME WITH A BILL OF SALE SO I'M SELLING IT WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY. Check with your local DMV if you have any title or regie questions. In most states old bikes are very easy to get paper work for. In some states its a real pain. ALL BUYERS WITH UNDER 5 FEEDBACKS MUST CONTACT ME WITH A PHONE # TO CALL OR YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELLED. Thanks

An Island tour with a legend

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.

Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.

Max Biaggi loses the plot . . and very nearly his teeth !

Tue, 29 Mar 2011

I’ve just got back from Donington Park and the second round of the World Superbike championship. The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. It’ll be remembered by most, especially those who witnessed it, as the meeting where Max Biaggi finally lost his already feeble grip on reality.
