Yamaha XS description

 Nice looking, 1980 Yamaha XS 650. Runs and starts great. New battery and front tire. New Non Vacuum petcock.Tank is clean inside. A few dents and scratches, see pics. Exhaust has been modified, previous owner cut rear plate out. A little louder then stock.Small oil leak at base of left cylinder, weeps when driving for a while.This is a 36 year old motorcycle, but nice for its age. Questions please ask. Yamaha Donates Star Bolt To True American Heroes Auction Hosted By Kenny Roberts

In support of the Yamaha True American Heroes Weekend–the fundraising event taking place this weekend at Kenny Roberts’ legendary ranch in Modesto, California–Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., has donated a 2014 Star Bolt to the Benefit Auction that is a featured event during the weekend. The announcement was made by Bob Starr, General Manager of Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. Our own Kevin Duke made it out to the event in 2012, where he had the chance to ride with some of the sport’s biggest legends.

2011 Yamaha Vino Classic Recalled for Drum Brake Issue

Yamaha is recalling 2011 Vino Classic scooters because of a problem with its brakes. More specifically, the brake shoe linings may separate from the shoe due to a lack of proper adhesion, reducing brake performance and increasing the risk of a crash. The problem can affect both the front and rear drum brakes.

Yamaha Opens New Motorcycle Testing Center

Yamaha has completed construction of a new test course for developing motorcycles for emerging markets in Kikugawa, Japan. The 121-acre Yamaha Motor Kikukawa Test Course features a 1.18-mile circuit and a mix of multi-purpose roads and mountain terrain. It will be used to develop new motorcycles for Latin America and Asia.
