I'm selling my "sickest" toy, which is this CBR954RR rocket with wheels. I hate to part with it, but honestly it's too fast for me. It's not a bike to be taken lightly. Topping out at 185 MPH, I let the throttle go because that was enough for me. It is a street-legal motorcycle with a 4-cylinder 954cc engine that seems like a V-12. This bike is seriously fast.
The bike is stretched for comfort and safety, so the front end won't pop up on me as easily. It has an adjustable extended swingarm. All you would need is a different size chain if you decide to adjust it. It has performance aftermarket front brake rotors. Make sure to use both the foot brake and the hand brake to avoid doing a nose stand. :) Despite the insane performance, this bike has convenient features. It seats two comfortably with swing-out passenger pegs and an extra set of pegs farther up so you can stretch your legs while riding. Electric start, digital speedo, trip odometer, clock, digital temperature readout, low fuel indicator, neutral and kickstand indicators. Most of all, it has a big, in-your-face, easy-to-read analog tachometer. Fuel capacity is around 4.8 gallons for long rides. I'm including the helmet and a pair of safety glasses. Rossi Finishes Second to World Champion Loeb at Monza Rally Show
Mon, 28 Nov 2011Valentino Rossi is back on the podium. Not a MotoGP podium, mind, but for a rally car race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. (Post updated with video.) Driving a Ford Fiesta RS with co-driver Carlo Cassina, Rossi won two of nine stages and finished second overall to eight-time World Rally Car Champion Sebastien Loeb at the 2011 Monza Rally Show.
Pedrosa Staying with Repsol Honda Through 2016 MotoGP Season
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Honda has signed Dani Pedrosa to a two-year contract extension that will see the Spanish racer stay with its factory MotoGP team through the 2016 season. By the end of the contract, Pedrosa will have spent a whole decade racing for Honda in the premier class to go with another five seasons in the 125cc and 250cc classes. The signing follows a similar two-year contract extension for Pedrosa’s teammate, the reigning World Champion Marc Marquez while over in the Yamaha camp, Valentino Rossi also recently signed a two-year contract extension, making 2016 the year to watch for silly season drama.
WSBK Racing Game Announced for Mobile Devices
Tue, 12 Nov 2013Italian software developer Digital Tales is producing the first fully-licensed World Superbike Championship video game for mobile devices. The WSBK mobile game for tablet and smartphone devices was introduced at the 2013 EICMA show, with racers such as Pata Honda‘s Michel Fabrizio and two-time defending Superstock 1000 Champion Sylvain Barrier demonstrating the game for EICMA visitors. Digital Tales previously produced a MotoGP game in 2010 and the Ducati Challenge game for iOS devices.
