 This is a nicely restored 1974 Honda CB550F.

-New Tires
-New Signals with flasher relay
-Electrical has been gone through
-Carbs serviced last year
-Pod filters
-Custom paint job
-Custom tank with knee dents (small ding on the right side)
-Custom plate holder and light
-Two seats that are inter switchable within 30 seconds (one cafe style, one classic)
-Redone handlebars
-Speedometer and Odometer have been replaced with smaller ones
-Matte black 4-into-1 exhaust

Current odometer reads around 2,200 miles. Actual miles on the engine are closer to 17,000. Oil drain plug is stuck preventing me from giving it a proper oil change. Does not want to fire up. After the oil change should be fine. Bike was firing nicely earlier this summer. Bike is being sold as is.

Honda is recalling over 20,000 Shadows in the US

Honda is recalling 22,142 motorcycles from shipments produced between 2010 and 2016. The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.

Honda Sold 16.8 Million Motorcycles in 2013

Honda announced sales of 16.8 million motorcycles in 2013, an improvement of 8.7% from the 15.5 million motorcycles sold in 2012. The announcement was made two days before Honda’s third quarter report for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2013, so we will have to wait to hear the financial impact, but based on these numbers, the quarterly report should be positive.

45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
